As a token of appreciation this Veterans Day, Pep Boys is presenting hundreds of veteran and active-duty Team Members with a commemorative Pep Boys Challenge Coin. As an organization proudly founded by Navy veterans, supporting our military remains foundational to who we are. The Challenge Coin program serves as an opportunity to honor those Team Members who have served our nation.
Historically, Challenge Coins are an important part of military culture, seen as a morale booster, in addition to a representation of belonging to a particular group of the armed forces. In the civilian world, Challenge Coins serve as a symbol of pride, teamwork, and unity, as well as a small token of gratitude for the service and sacrifice made for our country.
In its third year, Pep Boys will present hundreds of Challenge Coins to Team Members across the country. Veteran and active-duty service Team Members receive a commemorative coin, unique each year, along with a letter of appreciation from Pep Boys senior leadership. Coins are hand delivered to Team Members by field leadership beginning two weeks prior to Veterans Day.
With our company’s commitment to service top of mind, we partner with national organizations and efforts that positively impact communities across the country, many of which are focused on or support our military. This includes the U.S. Marine Toys for Tots Program, the Bob Woodruff Foundation, and Recruit Military. In addition, Pep Boys offers a 10% off military discount* every day at all locations to customers who present their military or veteran ID at purchase as another token of our appreciation.
