Pep Boys Opens New Auto Service and Tire Center in Fort Mill with Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Celebration

Company celebrates first of a new format that will be replicated nationally featuring modern in-store experience and smart services

PHILADELPHIA – April 28, 2022- Pep Boys, a leading U.S. automotive service provider, continues to expand its national network with the recent opening of one of its newest locations in Fort Mill, SC, at 3073 Highway 160 W., which will provide a full range of automotive maintenance and repair to customers. This location marks the Company’s first new protype built from the ground up and will be replicated in nearly 40 locations this year. The new format features a modern in-store experience and smart services that offer the customer a fully connected digital service journey. With the addition of Fort Mill, there are now 25 Pep Boys in the Carolinas.

Pep Boys marked the occasion recently with a special grand opening weekend including a ribbon cutting ceremony and customer celebration which included food, games, fun and special service offerings for the community. As a testament to the Company’s ongoing commitment to support veterans, Brian Kaner, Pep Boys CEO, presented a $500 donation to Veterans Bridge Home, a local charity which is part of the Bob Woodruff Foundation ‘Got Your Six’ Network. Pep Boys, which was founded by three veterans, donated $100,000 in November to the Bob Woodruff Foundation. In addition, National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Pro Drag Racer Mike Salinas, was on site during the ribbon cutting celebration with his Pep Boys sponsored Top Fuel car as Pep Boys is the official service provider of NHRA.

The Fort Mill store offers eight bays to provide both individual customers and the area’s fast-growing fleets with preventative maintenance, tire installations and both routine and major repairs performed by ASE-certified technicians. In addition to being equipped with the latest technology to handle today’s complex vehicles, Pep Boys offers every driver an electronic customer vehicle inspection as well as an entirely digital customer experience from online appointment booking to service tracking and mobile pay. New Pep Boys Auto Service and Tire Centers also offer customer-centric enhancements such as completely remodeled waiting rooms that feature modern design elements and comfortable workspace amenities including Wi-Fi.
