Competition Is Growing Fierce At The NHRA All-Star Callouts and Pep Boys NHRA Nationals

Pep Boys, the Official Auto Service Partner of the NHRA, is gearing up for the highly anticipated NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, IN, and Pep Boys NHRA Nationals in Reading, PA.

The Pep Boys NHRA All-Star Top Fuel Callout started in Gainesville in March and now Brittany Force, Steve Torrence, Mike Salinas, and Justin Ashley are in the final four. Salinas will be competing in a specially wrapped Pep Boys Top Fuel Dragster, one of the fastest accelerating dragsters on the planet, producing 11,000+ Horsepower and driving 0-330 MPH in 3.6 seconds. The Pep Boys Funny Car All-Star Callout will also take place as part of the prestigious Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park in Indiana on Aug. 31-Sept. 5 and will get a live timeslot on Fox Sports 1 (FS1) on Sunday, Sept. 4.

Pep Boys is also the title sponsor of the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series event on Sept. 15-18 at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, Pennsylvania. The track, which is regarded as one of the fastest tracks on the NHRA circuit, is home to the Pep Boys NHRA Nationals and serves as the opening race of the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series Countdown to the Championship-the first of six playoff races in 2022. The event will also feature a Pep Boys Electric Vehicle Service exhibition on the track throughout the weekend.

Pep Boys is bringing the excitement of the racetrack to the midway with its epic Mobile Activation area experience at both events. The Pep Boys’ activation area features hands-on activities and educational insights for racing fans, giving them a taste of the action. Fans can put their automotive know-how to the test with tire change and Pennzoil oil change challenges. With a twist on traditional caricatures, an artist is onsite to create eco-friendly caricature portraits using recycled Pennzoil products instead of ink.

Racing fans can experience Pep Boys’ latest automotive service technology through educational displays. From automotive diagnostics to the future of electric vehicles, fans can learn the ins-and-outs of the auto industry. The Mobile Activation includes remote control drag racing as well as an exclusive photo opportunity with an NHRA replica trophy.

As part of Pep Boys’ commitment to supporting and growing the automotive technician workforce, Pep Boys has a section dedicated to recruitment and careers. Fans can speak with recruiters to learn more about potential career opportunities at Pep Boys locations across the nation. Additional career information is also available by visiting https://careers.pepboys.com.

Pep Boys’ excitement continues as a partner in the NHRA Youth and Education Services (YES) Program, the only full-time education program in motorsports providing quality educational content and activities for schools and youth organizations nationwide. As a proud sponsor of the program, both upcoming races will host YES Program events, inviting students to experience the racing environment and hear first-hand about the career opportunities within the motorsports and automotive fields.

Pep Boys is thrilled to be a part of these exciting NHRA racing events and looks forward to seeing fans on the track and the midway!
