Pep Boys Wins Five 2022 Automotive Communications Awards

Awards celebrate excellence across multiple categories including Best 360 Degree Marketing Campaign

Pep Boys has once again received multiple awards for excellence in the 2022 Automotive Communications Awards program sponsored by Women in Auto Care, part of the Auto Care Association (ACA). The awards span multiple categories, showcasing the varied scope of work delivered during the year through marketing, social media, and digital initiatives. 

Pep Boys received awards in these five categories:

  • Best 360 Degree Marketing Campaign: Pep Boys NHRA
  • Best Print Ad: Pep Boys RecruitMilitary Ad
  • Best Media Outreach to Non-English-Speaking Audiences: Pep Boys Spanish Speaking Website
  • Best Social Media Campaign: Meet the Pros (of Pep Boys)
  • Best App for Mobile Devices: Pep Boys Smart Services

Over the past year, Pep Boys launched a new partnership with the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), creating custom content and creative across programs, building an epic activation center to engage race fans at the track, speaking to the future of the auto care industry at the NHRA Youth and Education Services (YES) Program events, and kicking off the Pep Boys NHRA All-Star Callout, a unique event where drivers can choose their opponent based on their standings. Pep Boys Team Accepts Awards with Partners from Team Scrappers and Marketing Activations Group

Additionally, Pep Boys has focused on meeting customers where they are through multiple initiatives. Pep Boys Smart Services make it easier for customers to care for their vehicle through digital and mobile features including online appointment scheduling, two-way texting capabilities to connect with their technician, a digital customer vehicle inspection, and mobile pay. Additionally, Pep Boys introduced a Spanish-language website, meeting the need to service the Hispanic market. Pep Boys’ partners in these initiatives include Push22, Vault Communications and Marketing Activations Group (MAG).
