Commercial Delivery Driver

The Commercial Delivery Driver is the ideal position for the candidate looking to start a career in the automotive parts industry. As a Commercial Driver, you will have an opportunity to learn about the parts we sell, and get to visit and build relationships with our many commercial customers. Every day is different and fast-paced. Much of your learning experience will include partnering with an experienced Commercial Driver, mixed with computer based E-Learning, that will include modules that cover basic parts knowledge, such as brakes and suspensions, as well as other modules that will teach you our Customer Care process.

All of this prepares you for the next step in your career. As your skills grow with our company, you can apply for other open positions in our stores, which include Retail and Commercial Sales Associate, as well as Commercial Sales Specialist. Our Commercial Sales Specialist is the ideal position for the candidate with exceptional parts knowledge, combined with the ability to build lasting commercial relationships. As a Commercial Sales Specialist (CSS), you will be a business partner with our many commercial customers serviced by your store, providing parts solutions that keep their customers satisfied, while leading and coaching a team of drivers and sales associates to increase their skills and development. Every day is different and fast-paced. Your learning experience will include both hands-on training with a high performing CSS, as well as computer based E-Learning modules that will cover enhanced parts system knowledge, our Customer Care process, and other leadership development skills.

All of this prepares you for the next step in your career. As your skills grow with our company, you can apply for other open positions, which can include Commercial Account Manager, or other Retail Management positions within the store or the area.

Commercial Account Manager

Our Commercial Account Manager is the ideal position for a candidate that excels in building lasting relationships in combination with class leading sales skills in the automotive parts delivery world. As a Commercial Account Manager (CAM), you will be a business partner with the many commercial customers serviced in your area, providing parts and equipment solutions that keep their customers satisfied, while leading and coaching a team Commercial Sales Specialists to increase their skills and development. Every day is different and fast-paced. Your learning experience will include both hands-on training with a high performing CAM, as well as E-Learning modules that will teach you our Customer Care and sales processes, and other modules to improve your effectiveness as a leader.

Retail/Commercial Sales Associate

Our Retail/Commercial Sales Associate position is for those individuals who are looking to start a career in the automotive parts/retail industry. As a Retail/Commercial Sales Associate you will have an opportunity to learn basic automotive parts and automotive systems, as well as, basic customer engagement, automotive problem solving and retail sales and merchandising basics. Part of your learning experience will consist of, hands-on learning and computer based E-Learning modules. The modules will cover different automotive systems, retail selling best practices and company processes as well as product merchandising.

With the training and development, you will receive in the store, you will be better prepared for advancement opportunities. Those that demonstrate the ability to effectively execute on all levels of their position, will have an opportunity to apply and be considered for promotion to a role, such as Parts Room or PIR Specialist or Commercial Sales Specialist and advance your career within the Pep Boys organization.

Retail Sales Specialist

Our Retail Sales Specialist position is a great position for individuals who are looking to move forward with their career in the automotive parts / retail industry. As a Retail Specialist (RSS) you will have an opportunity to continue to build on your basic automotive parts knowledge as well as lead a team of retail associates. You and your team will provide customer solutions to our retail customers as well as support or service business through maintaining an accurate in stock parts position and an inviting customer shopping experience. As an RSS you will also work closely with the Store Manager of Parts not only to learn new skills but also assist in providing proper staffing, hands-on training for our associates as well as support the day to day operations of the store. Your own development process will include hands-on training and coaching from your manager as well as E-Learning modules that cover a vast area of learning knowledge. The RSS is a great position for those that want to move into a management position but have not yet gained the knowledge of what is required to manage a store. Those that that excel in their position as an RSS will have the opportunity to be considered for promotion and advancement within the Pep Boys Organization.

Parts Room/PIR Specialist

Our Parts Room / PIR Specialist position is for those individuals who are looking for an advanced role with leadership responsibilities as well as product merchandising and inventory control. As a Parts Room or PIR Specialist you will, not only play a key role in providing parts solutions for customers, but also in ensuring product is kept in stock and properly merchandised for a better customer experience. At times you will also lead and develop a team of sales associates to improve their skills and expertise. Part of your learning experience will consist of E-learning modules, hands-on training, and working directly with the Store Manager of Parts to develop your merchandising and inventory management skills as well as developing your leadership skills.

With the training and development, you will receive in the store, you will be better prepared for advancement opportunities. Those that demonstrate the ability to effectively execute on all levels of their position will have an opportunity to apply and be considered for a leadership role such as Commercial Sales Specialist or Store Manager of Parts and advance your career within the Pep Boys organization.

Store Manager of Parts

Our Store Manager of Parts position is a stepping stone to the next level within the Pep Boys organization. As a Store Manager of Parts (SMP) you will be supervising and or working with the Commercial Sales Specialist (CSS), Retail Sales Specialist (RSS), and the Store Manager of Service (SMS) by providing them the support they need to run their department as well as assist them in building lasting customer relationships with their customers and teams.

A Store manager of Parts ensures the day-to-day operations of his/her store by providing the necessary support and training for his/her team to not only provide customer service beyond customers’ expectations, but also to maintain a safe, clean, and inviting work environment.

Store Manager of Parts will also work closely with his/her Area Director to ensure sales goals and other company directives are executed by them and their team. We have many training opportunities for this position that include hands on training, formal in-class training and E-Learning modules that are designed to help advance their knowledge and career.

Store Managers of Parts that excel in their roles and have the knowledge and drive to succeed can be considered for promotion and advancement in the Pep Boys organization.
